Obviously if I called it some ideas to make your media work better then it would not have been very catchy. This presentation was inspired by my essay on how to use TV and Digital more effectively for The WARC Admap prize which you can also view here. I remember spending some time at the begining arguing the case for the use of multiple apostrophes in the title, it was a grammar pedant’s heaven or should that be pedants’

The idea here was for someone that speakers representing Advertisers, platforms and publishers would present their views on AdBlocking and then there was a vote to see who was the most convincing. For the record I came joint second but here are my 5 minutes.

One my career highlights, being asked to speak at an IAB Engage conference. One small confession, I hadn’t appreciated the scale of the event. I usually give away some chocolate to help with the feedback scores so notice how I came armed with a box of Creme Eggs to hand out. Somehow that wasn’t going to be enough for the audience of 800+ Digerati. As you will see, I got around that but then wondered how well my content was going to go down. I was basically berating the industry for the way they sell to companies like Mondelez. I must have got away with it as my session got the second highest level of feedback for the overall conference.
